The knife is over 45 years old. The blade is German Pumaster steel and the handle is stag with three brass rivets and a lanyard hole that is brass lined. This knife measures 11 1/2" overall with a 6 3/4" blade. The front of this knife blade is etched: 6374 HANDMADE - PUMA COUGAR - GENUINE PUMASTER STEEL GERMANY - PAT. 1220573.
The knife includes the "PUMA Proof Mark" on the blade: a small dot or ping on each blade was made with a diamond pointed needle, part of the Rockwell blade quality testing. The knife also comes with the Rockwell sticker. It has a 6 3/4" German Pumaster steel blade and is 11 1/2" overall length.
