Fly Saver

PUMA Fly Saver, the model number is 836. This model was made for Abercrombie & Fitch in the 1960's. Made by PUMA for the Abercrombie Sporting Goods Dealer. This model is rare knife to find. It is used by Fly Fishermen to retrieve a fly or lure from a snag up in a tree.

The handles are stainless steel. The blade is etched: PUMA - FLY - SAVER, STAINLESS - GERMANY. The blade locks in the open position to retrieve the fishing lure. It also locks in the closed position. A leather pouch came with the knife to protect it.
