Planter

PUMA Planter, the model numbers are 970 and 971. The handles were made from jacaranda. The 970 model has a single blade. The 971 model has a single blade and a saw blade.

PUMA made the Planter model in 1970. This model was made after the Plainsman in 1968. Later in 1970 PUMA began making the famous 970 Game Warden model.

This knife measures 8 5/8" overall with a 3 7/8" blade. The front of the hunting blade is etched: 970 PUMA PLANTER - NEW STAINLESS SUPER KEEN CUTTING STEEL. This fine German hunting knife also has the factory Rockwell sticker.

The knife features jacaranda handles with three brass rivets. This knife measures 8 5/8" overall with a 3 7/8" blade.  This fine German hunting knife also has the factory Rockwell sticker.

The knife came in a green and gold box with a guarantee control tag.

The two models are:

1) Planter > 970 > Jacaranda.

2) Planter > 971 > Jacaranda.

I am currently chasing both models.
