Rotwildmesser 

PUMA Rotwildmesser, the model number is 3598. The Rotwildmesser or red deer knife is a heavy duty hunting knife. The thick blade is strong and was designed for challenging tasks in the field.

The model in the pictures is the second generation design. The PUMA Rotwildmesser is a full tang knife with stag handles. This knife also is referred to as "The Deer Knife. The date etch on the blade is 12/RC. This indicates the knife was hand made in 2012. The Puma model number is 113598. The blade is made from German stainless steel and the handles are genuine sambar stag with two brass rivets. The finger guard is German silver.

This knife measures 10 3/8" overall with a 5 1/4" blade. The front of this knife blade is etched: 113598 HANDARBEIT - rotwildmesser - GERMANY 12/RC.

The knife includes the "PUMA Proof Mark" on the blade: a small dot or ping on each blade was made with a diamond pointed needle, part of the Rockwell blade quality testing. The knife also comes with the Rockwell sticker. It has a 5 1/4" German stainless steel blade and is 10 3/8" overall length.

This PUMA knife came in the factory black PUMA presentation box that is lined with foam. The knife also came with a genuine leather sheath.
