Waidbesteck - Super Set     

PUMA Waidbesteck / Super Set, the model number is 51 3588. The PUMA model numbers are 11 3588 Waidblatt and 11 3587 Jagdnicker. Both knives have genuine stag handles. The guarantee control number is 27282 for the Waidblatt. This indicates the knife was hand made at PUMA Werks in the 2nd half of 1982. The guarantee control number for the jagdnicker is 46092. This indicates the knife was hand made at PUMA Werks in the 2nd half of 1992.  

The handles are genuine stag with three brass rivets. The handle on the Waidblatt also have a brass lined lanyard hole.  The Waidblatt blade was made from German high carbon steel and the blade from the Jagdnicker was made from inbox stainless steel.

The Waidblatt knife measures 13" overall with a 8 1/2" blade. The Jagdnicker knife measures 8" overall with a 3 3/4" blade. The super knife set also comes with a genuine dark green leather sheath. 

The Waidblatt blade is etched with: 11 3588 HANDARBEIT - PUMA ORIGINAL WAIDBLATT - NACH OBERFORSTMEISTER FREVERT - GERMANY HIGH CARBON STEEL. The Jagdnicker blade is etched: 11 3587 HANDARBEIT - PUMA JAGDNICKER - VOM WAIDEBESTECK - GERMANY INOX. 

The knives came in the factory wood presentation box with the factory guarantee control date tags and gold PUMA booklet. This knife was hand made in Solingen, Germany at PUMA Werks. 

The knife includes the "PUMA Proof Mark" on the blade: a small dot or ping on the blade was made with a diamond pointed needle. This is part of the Rockwell blade quality testing. The Rockwell stickers are included.
