Yachtsman

PUMA Yachtsman, the model number is unknown. The handles are genuine stag. No model # and the absence of the Yachtsman in PUMA catalogs and marketing material indicates a short lifespan for this knife. It is estimated the Yachtsman was made in the mid 1950’s. The Yachtsman model was made for the boating industry while the 6390 Automesser was made for the automobile market. The Yachtsman is more than likely the most rare PUMA model ever made.

The front blade tang is etched with the PUMA logo, and PUMA GERMANY. The blade is also etched “YACHTSMAN”. This PUMA Yachtsman knife 10 11/16" in overall length and the blade is 6” long. The blade was made from German carbon steel.

I am currently chasing this model.
